Railroad club cuts price of admission

In a nod to the bad economy, the Slimrail Model Railroad Club is halving admission to its Model Railroad Show and Swap Meet this weekend for the first 200 people who show up.

The club's 24th annual show takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Rampart High School, 8250 Lexington Drive and features several operating model railroad layouts, how-to clinics for beginners, and dozens of sales and swap tables.

Regular admission is $4 per person and $6 for families; youngsters 12 and under accompanied by an adult are admitted free. For more information, call John Campbell at 481-2698 or Ray Hoppes at 331-4785.
