Divide ranch has an ally in 'Apprentice'

One of the stars on Donald Trump’s “The Celebrity Apprentice” has enthusiastic fans at The One Good Turn Ranch 4Kids in Divide.

Sunday nights on NBC, teams of celebrities are playing for charities on the TV show, with each week’s winner earning $20,000 for his or her favorite, while the week’s loser goes home. The overall winner, the last celebrity standing, will snag $250,000 for his or her charity.

Retired World Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment pro wrestler Bill Goldberg, who has so far escaped elimination, has served as a mentor at the ranch and is playing for Communities 4Kids in support of The One Good Turn Ranch 4Kids.

The ranch, a project of former Marine and IndyCar driver

car owner Joey “Joey T” Truscelli, has outdoor programs and mentoring for children whose fathers or mothers were killed while serving in the military, and for young people facing other adversity.

A “Sons of the Fallen” camp provided boys an opportunity to do things they might have done with their late fathers, including fishing, kayaking and driving race cars. It also gave the boys, ages 7 to 17, an opportunity to talk openly with male mentors about their dads.

Girls will attend a camp this summer.
