Hotel occupancy rates rise in Springs
Occupancy rates at Colorado Springs hotels rose in September by 3.7 percentage points compared with a year ago, the biggest gain in occupancy rates in two years. September also marked the second straight month of year-over-year increases.
The findings from the Rocky Mountain Lodging Report, released Monday by the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association, also show that the average room rate was up $4.46 to $91.15. Statewide, occupancy rates fell 6.3 percentage points to 60.2 percent and the average room rate dropped $13.18 to $110.98.
