Many try, but no one can match the hot, rich, homey, gravy-like sauce this local institution ladles over its burritos. It's so good its been officially commended by the state legislature, and if that's not enough, it also daily attracts lines that stretch out the door.

GAZETTE PICK: JORGE'S MEXICAN RESTAURANT
It's less a gravy than a broth thick with meat and ribbons of
chiles. The pieces of pepper give it some heat, but not enough to
eclipse the restaurant's spot-on enchiladas and other fare.
