Retreat designed to invigorate spirit

A spiritual retreat, "Keys Christian Wholesale Retreat" will take place 12:45 to 3 p.m. June 30 in Room 107 at the World Prayer Center on the New Life campus, 11025 Voyager Parkway.

Retreat leader Cara Savanna said the event, in its ninth year, features spiritual talks and an artist who creates spiritually themed works.

"This is about restoration and renewal of spirit, soul and body, and walking in liberty," said Savanna, a Colorado Springs missionary with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, headquartered in Los Angeles.

The event is free, but a $5 offering at the door will be accepted. For more information, call Savanna at 229-2818.

Jehovah's Witnesses convention

"Keep on the Watch," the Jehovah's Witnesses' District Convention, will be held July 3-5 at the State Fair Events Center, 1001 Beulah Ave., in Pueblo.

The free event is open to Jehovah's Witnesses and anyone wanting to learn more about the faith. People attending are asked to brown bag a lunch because no food will be served. Convention hours are 9:30 a.m.-4:50 p.m. July 3, 9:30 a.m.-4:55 p.m. July 4, and 9:30-4 p.m. July 5. The schedule features lectures and testimonies by Jehovah's Witnesses. A biblical play will be presented 1:35 to 2:55 p.m. July 5.
