Revenues fall again at Cripple Creek casinos

Cripple Creek casino revenues fell 10.3 percent in September to $12.8 million, according to the state Division of Gaming.

Statewide, gaming revenue dropped 18.7 percent to $59.3 million. Central City casino revenues dropped 26.4 percent to $5.4 million and Black Hawk revenues were down 20 percent to $41.1 million.

Casino revenue has been down every month this year, caused, casino owners say, by a combination of the smoking ban, gas prices and the economic slump.
