D20 school a finalist in video book report contest

High school students at Discovery Canyon Campus in Academy School District 20 are trying to win some money with their reading. The school was named a finalist in the nationwide BookJam Digital Book Report Contest “City of Ember.”

Hundreds of schools across the nation entered, and five high school finalists were selected for an online voting process that closed earlier this week.

The winners will be announced by mid-December, with the grand prize being $20,000 for the top school.
