D-11 school psychologist receives state award

THE GAZETTE

Lynnette Pfeiffer was recently named 2009 Colorado School Psychologist of the Year. Pfeiffer is chairwoman of the district's school psychologist department and works out of Howbert Elementary School. She also serves a psychologist for D-11's preschools.

The Colorado Society of School Psychologists (CSSP) gives the annual award to someone who spends most of their time providing direct services to students, teachers, and parents in school settings.

Pfeiffer was nominated by a former professors.  The nominations committee received 12 letters of support from colleagues. 

The award was presented Nov. 6 at the organization's annual convention.
