A nighttime snowfall has made roads slick and delayed some local schools and military bases.

The slick roads have prompted the Colorado Springs Police Department to put the city on accident alert status. If you are involved in a crash that doesn’t involve injuries or alcohol or drugs, you are encouraged to exchange information and report the crash within 72 hours.

Today, the National Weather Service predicts a high of 22 degrees with patches of freezing fog before 10 a.m. and continued snowfall through the morning.
