Sunday storm expected to bring a little snow, a lot of cold

The warm weather we’ve been enjoying is taking a dip on the cold side.
Snow is expected to blow in overnight and blow out by lunchtime on Sunday.
“Possibly a light accumulation of around a half-inch or an inch (in Colorado Springs), with one-to-two inches closer to the Palmer Divide,” said Joe Ceru, National Weather Service in Pueblo meteorologist.
Today’s high in the low 50s will gradually decrease, with a high in the upper 30s expected Sunday afternoon.
A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 5 p.m. Sunday in the eastern San Juan Mountains above 10,000 feet including Cumbres and Wolf Creek passes. Total snowfall amounts of 4-9 inches are expected by Sunday evening, and motorists should find the latest forecast before hitting the road.
