PCMag.com

Facebook and MySpace are great for connecting with friends, but their general content doesn't necessarily support your greatest addictions and hobbies. Here are some cool niche social networks:

• Photo fans: Fotolog.com is different from other photo-sharing sites because you can post only one photo a day. It encourages community building, and has a huge international following.

• LGBT: Glee.com (an acronym for Gay, Lesbian, and Everyone Else) caters to professionals in the LGBT community. In addition to career-advancement tools, it offers traditional social features like music, blogs, groups and chat.

• Car enthusiasts: Motortopia allows car enthusiasts to talk shop, sell their cars and blog about their hobbies. The site also has tabs for bikes, boats and planes.

• Bookworms: Shelfari.com is one of the best sites for book lovers, thanks to the virtual bookshelf and slick interface that allow you to display your library to the world.

Harrison school district closer to pay for performance for teachers
Should teacher pay be based on performance?
Yes. Teachers should be rewarded for good work, and poor performers should be weeded out.
No. Pay for performance is just a back-door way of blaming teachers for other problems in the education system.
It depends on what "performance" means. It's good if there's a fair measurement of performance.
Undecided.
