THE GAZETTE

The price of gasoline in Colorado Springs is tied with Pueblo for the lowest in Colorado, according to information compiled by AAA. That doesn't mean filling up here will feel like a bargain. A gallon of regular-grade gas in Colorado Springs costs $3.92, just 1 cent shy of the record set Friday, AAA says on its Web site, www.fuelgaugereport.com/COmetro.asp. The price in Colorado Springs a year ago was $3.03.

The national average price hit another record today at $4.10 per gallon.
