Gateway computer stores closing

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

Today is the last day Gateway computers stores will be open. The company announced last month it is closing its 188 stores for good, including its location at 7390 N Academy Blvd., in Colorado Springs.

When the doors are locked today, not only will 2,500 jobs be lost but so will activity that accounted for one-third of the company’s revenue last year.

Customers will now have to contact the company via phone, Web or mail.

Harrison school district closer to pay for performance for teachers
Should teacher pay be based on performance?
Yes. Teachers should be rewarded for good work, and poor performers should be weeded out.
No. Pay for performance is just a back-door way of blaming teachers for other problems in the education system.
It depends on what "performance" means. It's good if there's a fair measurement of performance.
Undecided.
