Richard Glen Strandlof pleads not guilty to posing as wounded Marine
DENVER • Richard Glen Strandlof pleaded not guilty Monday to charges that he made false claims about being a decorated military veteran. Strandlof, 32, is charged in U.S. District Court in Denver with five misdemeanor counts related to portraying himself as a wounded Marine captain. Magistrate Judge Michael Watanabe is expected to decide Wednesday whether Strandlof should be granted bail. Strandlof is the first person to be charged in Colorado under the Stolen Valor Act.
