Incident Date July 20, 2010 Time 1:23:00 AM Division Sand Creek Shift III Title Robbery Location 4000 block of Lacy Ln, The Windmill Apartments Summary On 07-20-2010 at 1:24 AM officers were dispatched to the Windmill Apartments in the 4000 block of Lacy Lane to investigate a disturbance that was occurring in the parking lot. When officers arrived at 1:26 AM they contacted two victims and learned that a personal robbery had occurred.
The two victims were pulling into the parking lot in their vehicle when a maroon four door vehicle quickly pulled in front of them and stopped. Five black males exited the maroon vehicle and walked back towards the victims who were in their own vehicle.
Three of the black males approached the passenger side of the victim vehicle and two of them pointed handguns at the passenger. The suspects forcefully took personal items from the passenger after striking him with the one of the handguns.
Two of the black males approached the driver side of the victim vehicle and one of the suspects pointed a handgun at the driver. Personal items were taken from the driver, after he was struck with the handgun. Neither of the two victims suffered serious injuries. No gunshots were fired.
The suspects left the area travelling northbound on Murray Blvd. The suspect vehicle was described as a maroon four door, possible a Toyota Corolla. Incident Date July 11, 2010 Time 11:00:00 PM Division Sand Creek Shift II Title Robbery Location 4200 Apollo Village Circle Summary On 07/17/10 it was reported to CSPD that a previously unreported robbery had occurred on 07/11/10 around 2300 hours in the 4200 block of Apollo Village Circle (Camelot Apartments). A male victim reported that he had been walking southbound through the apartments when a vehicle pulled up next to him and three suspects exited. One of the suspects approached the victim and demanded his backpack while displaying a handgun. The victim gave the suspect the backpack and was told by the suspect to leave. As the victim was walking away the suspect fired one round into the air. The three suspects then returned to their vehicle and left heading westbound on Airport Road. The victim was not harmed in the incident. The first suspect armed with the handgun is described as a black male in his early 20's, 5-10 tall, 160 lbs, with a large unkept afro, and wearing black jeans, and a red t-shirt with a pocket on the left chest. Suspect #2 is described as a black male in his early 20's with short black hair, 6-0 tall, 150 lbs, and wearing a white oversized t-shirt with a dark colored design on the front and blue jeans. Suspect #3 could only be described as a white or hispanic male, 5-11 tall, with a thin build. The vehicle the suspects were in was a 1999 or 2000, Honda or Mazda sedan, red in color. Incident Date July 8, 2010 Time 7:45:00 PM Division Sand Creek Shift III Title Robbery Location 3600 Block of Brentwood Terrace Summary On July 8, 2010 at 10:24PM, officers from the Sand Creek Division were dispatched to Memorial Hospital to contact the victim of an assault.
During the investigation, officers learned that the 17 year old victim returned to the 3600 Block of Brentwood Terrace, and was walking to his front door.
Three black male suspects appeared and confronted the victim in the driveway. While two suspects stood by, one suspect, standing approximately 6' tall, and wearing a white hoody with dark colored shorts, approached the victim and punched him in the face. The suspect reached into the victim's pockets, and took his wallet. After taking the money that was inside, the suspect left the wallet and the suspects fled in a maroon colored four door vehicle.

Incident Date July 8, 2010 Time 12:15:00 AM Division Sand Creek Shift III Title Robbery Location 3300 Block of E. Bijou Street Summary Officers were dispatched to the 3300 E. Bijou Street on a personal robbery. Upon arrival, officers contacted the victim, who stated as he was unloading some items from his vehicle he was approached by three males. All three males were wearing bandana's over their faces. One suspect held a handgun to the victim's cheek.
The suspect then order the victim to lay on the ground. The suspects then kicked the victim several times in the head. The suspects removed items from the victim's pocket, which included his cell phone, wallet,and the keys to his vehicle.
The suspects then left in the victim's car in unknown direction.
The victim's vehicle is a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer, gray in color, Illinios plate starting out with K69(victim still attempting to get his full license plate number)

Suspect #1- white male (had possession of the handgun) approx 19 to 20 yrs old, 6'0", 170lbs, with short blonde hair, no facial hair, wearing black shirt, black pants, and black shoes.

Incident Date July 6, 2010 Time 10:50:00 PM Division Sand Creek Shift III Title Robbery Location 335 Lionstone Dr. Summary On July 6, 2010 at 10:53PM, officers from the Sand Creek Division were dispatched to 335 Lionstone Dr., the Dovetree Apartments, in regards to a personal robbery.
The investigation revealed that the two male victims entered a parked vehicle in the parking lot of the Dovetree Apartments. Suddenly, two suspects who were described as a white male with a thin beard and a black male with no further description opened both the driver and passenger doors. Immediately, the driver was pistol whipped in the face and drug out of the car, while the passenger was also and ordered out of the car. The driver continued to be beaten by the first suspect and a third unidentified black male suspect who participated in the driver beating. As the suspects were leaving, the passenger was stuck with fists and kicked.
Personal items were taken from the suspects, and then the suspects fled southbound on Murray Blvd. in a two door black car.
The victims were treated on scene by medical personnel and released.

Incident Date July 6, 2010 Time 2:00:00 AM Division Sand Creek Shift III Title Robbery Location 4500 Block of Frost Dr. Summary On July 6, 2010 at 2:02AM, officers from the Sand Creek Division were dispatched to the 4500 Block of Frost Drive in regards to a personal robbery.
The investigation revealed that three unknown suspects, who were described as black males, wearing blue, with one suspect standing approximately 5'4" and the others approximately 5'8", brandished two pistols and demanded money from a group of four victims. The victims, who are all in their late teens and early 20's, had just arrived in the area by car.
When the suspects approached the victims, one of the suspects fired a shot directly at a victim, who felt the shock wave from the bullet as it passed by. The victim was not hit and was not injured. After taking personal items, the suspects fled the area on foot.
A shell casing was recovered from the scene.

Incident Date June 20, 2010 Time 4:38:00 AM Division Sand Creek Shift III Title Robbery Location 2344 S Academy Blvd Summary On 6/20/10 the two victims were walking home through the parking lot of 2344 S Academy Blvd, Astrozon Plaza, when a dark colored sedan pulled up to them. Two or three black males, at least two of them armed with guns, jumped out of the vehicle and confronted the victims. The suspects told the victims "give me everything you got". Victim two ran, while victim one gave the suspects his wallet and baseball hat.
As the suspects ran back to the dark colored sedan, one of the suspects fired a shot at victim one striking him in the right hip area. The suspects left in the vehicle, possibly southbound on Academy Blvd.
Victim one was transported to Memorial Hospital for non life threatening injuries. Victim two was not injured.
Officers checked the area for the suspects with negative contact.
The suspects were described as black males in their late teens to early twenties wearing black and gray colored clothing. The vehicle was described only as a dark colored sedan possibly driven by a female. Adults Arrested None Media Contact Name and Phone Number: Lt. Wilson 444-7270

Incident Date June 16, 2010 Time 4:30:00 AM Division Sand Creek Shift III Title Robbery Location 2890 Ferber Dr., Giberson Park Summary On June 16, 2010 at 4:37AM, officers from the Sand Creek Division were dispatched to the 2300 Block of South Academy Boulevard in regards to an assault victim.
The investigation revealed that the victim was sitting in Giberson Park, located at 2890 Ferber Dr, when four black males approached him from different directions. One of the males brandished a pistol and demanded the victim's money while another suspect punched the suspect in the face. The suspects ordered the victim to run away, and the victim ran to 2300 South Academy.

Incident Date June 4, 2010 Time 10:50:00 PM Division Sand Creek Shift III Title Robbery Location 4200 block Moonbeam Drive Summary Sand Creek officers were sent to the area of Moonbeam Drive and Deerfield Hills Road to investigate a personal robbery. Officers contacted two male victims and learned that the victims had been walking in the 4200 block of Moonbeam Drive when they were approached by a group of 5 black males. Two of the black males pointed handguns at the two victims while the other three males surrounded the victims. The two males with hanguns demanded the victims to give them their belongings, which the victims complied with. The suspects are described as black males, all wearing white t-shirts and dark colored longer shorts. The suspects were described to be between 5'4" - 5'6" tall and appeared to be in their mid to late teens. The suspects fled on foot in a south-easterly direction.
