Suspect in attempted-murder case back behind bars

THE GAZETTE

A man who didn’t return to the courthouse Thursday after a break in his bond-revocation hearing is back in custody.

Jessie Kaizen, 23, was booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center on Saturday.

Bond is set at more than $200,000.

Records show six warrants against Kaizen, who was wanted on a warrant for contempt of court in an attempted-homicide case. Kaizen was arrested in November after his 9-month-old daughter sustained life-threatening injuries.

His court date is set for March 18.
