Survivors of domestic violence will speak Friday
TESSA's "Silent Witnesses" will speak out Friday at the Pioneers Museum for the more than 70 women, men and children who lost their lives to domestic violence in the Pikes Peak Region in the past 15 years.
Life-size wooden silhouettes will fill the lawn of the museum and survivors of domestic violence will speak out for a safer community. Businesses are being asked to accept purple ribbons in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Presentations are at noon and 5 p.m.
