New CEO named to head Peak Vista Community Health Centers
Pamela McManus, senior vice president of Peak Vista Community Health Centers, has been promoted to CEO, the nonprofit announced today.
She replaces BJ Scott, who becamse executive director of the Peak Vista Foundation, the nonprofit's fundraising arm.
McManus, who starts the new job June 1, is a 2004 graduate of the University of California's Healthcare Executive Program, and was recognized as a "Top 40 Leader Under 40" by the Colorado Springs Business Journal.
She'll lead an organization that has expanded exponentially in its 40-year history with a number of specialized health-care centers, including ones for seniors, the disabled and the homeless. On Tuesday, Peak Vista held a reception to celebrate its newly remodeled center on International Circle that can serve 7,000 new patients for medical and dental care.
Altogether, Peak Vista offers medical, dental and behavioral health services to more than 63,000 people in El Paso and Teller counties, many of them uninsured or underinsured. The foundation that Scott leads was established in 2005 as a separate nonprofit.
