Springs voters report difficulties with ballots
Colorado Springs voters are experiencing difficulties with their ballots in the city's April 5 election.
Some voters say they didn’t receive a secrecy sleeve.
“The clerk’s office has gotten some calls from people who think they are missing their secrecy sleeve, but so far, all of them were because they didn’t realize the secrecy sleeve is the Voting Instructions piece,” city spokeswoman Mary Scott said.
“If they mistakenly threw theirs out, they can fold a blank piece of paper over the ballot,” she said.
Other voters say their ballots are too big for the return envelope.
“It is a tight fit, but it does fit,” Scott said. “They can also tear the bottom of the secrecy sleeve if that makes it easier for them to fit it back in the envelope.”
