State Patrol investigates one-car crash

A man was hurt early Saturday after the car he was driving plunged into a ditch along Palmer Park Boulevard east of Powers Boulevard just outside the Colorado Springs city limits, the Colorado State Patrol said.

Cpl. Eric Wynn said troopers are investigating why the vehicle ran off the road around 5 a.m.

The driver reportedly was extricated from the vehicle by Cimarron Hills fire officials before being taken to Memorial Central Hospital.

The driver was not identified, and his condition is unknown.

“It didn’t sound like he had severe injuries,” Wynn said.
