Springs airport passenger traffic flat in October

Passenger traffic at the Colorado Springs Airport remained flat in October compared with a year earlier, down a single passenger to 79,789 as a big gain by Frontier Airlines offset declines by Delta Air Lines, Northwest Airlines and US Airways, airport officials reported Tuesday.

Traffic was up in September from a year earlier for the first time in more than a year. Passenger numbers for the first 10 months of the year are down 8.1 percent from the same period a year ago to 783,003.
