KEY ISSUES

1. What should state lawmakers be doing to strengthen Colorado's economy?

Lawmakers should encourage economic growth in all sectors of the state. We should offer tax incentives for small and large businesses to relocate to Colorado. The last thing we should be doing is tossing any industries or small businesses out of the state by charging higher taxes and mandating more restrictions.

2. What should the state Legislature do about illegal immigration, or has it taken all necessary steps?

No, we have not done enough! We must apply pressure on the federal government to secure our borders! Illegal immigration is draining resources from our schools, hospitals and tax funded social programs. We need to crack down harder on "coyotes" who continue to transport undocumented workers into Colorado.

3. What role should the state government play in the advancement of renewable energy?

Government should help, not hinder, businesses pursuing renewable energy options in this state. While we work toward renewable resources such as wind and solar we need to develop affordable energy resources such as hydropower, clean coal technologies, pump storage, natural gas, oil shale and oil resources at the same time.

Ted Haggard is starting new church at his Colorado Springs home.
What's your view?
Good for him. If God has called Haggard to return to ministry, he should obey.
Haggard should stay out of the ministry. He has too much baggage to lead a church.
I don't care what Haggard does, and I'm sick of hearing about him in the news.
Haggard and anyone crazy enough to attend his church deserve each other.
Haggard has a lot to offer as a pastor. Let's give him a chance.
