Tracy Lawrence gives Springs concert for cancer research

Country music star Tracy Lawrence will give a concert to raise money for cancer research at noon today at the new Cowboy's East, 5869 Palmer Park Blvd.

Tickets are $5 at the Cat Country Studios, 6805 Corporate Drive, Suite 130. Doors opened at 11 a.m. There will also be a silent auction, including autographed items, certificates, and various items donated from local businesses, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Childhood Hematology Oncology Associates, a research and treatment facility.

The concert has been dedicated to Aden's Friends.

Aden is the 6-year-old son of Citadel Broadcasting's General Manager, Mike Knar. Aden receives treatment for his leukemia at the CHOA.
