Cripple Creek visitors can win more than quarters and greenbacks this weekend.
On Saturday and Sunday the “Wheel of Fortune” Wheel Mobile pulls into town to offer slots as contestants on the popular game show.
From 1 to 5 p.m. each day, game show representatives will hold auditions in the form of a scaled-down version of the show at the Double Eagle Hotel & Casino, 442 E. Bennett Ave. Contestants for these mock shows, chosen from random drawings, may win small prizes, such as hats and fanny packs, and be considered for the real game show.
“Are they good puzzle solvers? Do they have the spirit we’re looking for?” game spokeswoman Ani Amirkhanian asked.
Staff members will begin giving out applications an hour before the 1, 2:30 and 4 p.m. auditions.
