Intruders interrupt man as he reported separate crime
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A Colorado Springs man was on the phone with police, trying to report a crime, when two armed men allegedly forced their way into an apartment at 5150 Airport Road on the city's southeast side Wednesday around 9:20 p.m.
The suspects wore black hooded sweatshirts and hid their faces behind black bandanas, police said. One victim estimated their ages in the early 20s.
Once inside, they allegedly forced the occupants of apartment into the back while they stole cash. Two men suffered minor injuries when the intruders pistol whipped them, police said.
The suspects fled on foot and no arrests have been made. The names of the victims were not released by Colorado Springs Police.
WINTERY WEATHER RETURNS

We're looking at a winter weather advisory until 5 p.m. Scattered flurries, drizzle and snow showers today with highs around 36 degrees - or 30 degrees lower than on Wednesday. Fog. Slick, wet roads to the north.
Winds will be out of the southeast at 5 to 10 mph. The chance of snow in 30 percent. (So expect a blizzard.) Tonight, it will be cloudy with winds 10-15 mph and lows around 24 degrees.
HELP FOR THE JOBLESS
Today is "Keep Colorado Working Day" and a great opportunity to find a new job.
The Pikes Peak Workforce Center is holding an all-day job fair today starting at 9 a.m. and running until 4 p.m.
