2 men arrested in Wednesday stabbings
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Colorado Springs Police have arrested two men they believe assaulted three people Wednesday night.
Police say Juan Carlos Solis, 31, and Anthony Murray, 36, assaulted two men at about 8:25 p.m. who were waiting at the bus stop at South Nevada and St. Elmo avenues. Solis stabbed one man twice in the neck, police said. That man is in critical but stable condition at Memorial Hospital. The other man suffered a cut to his face and was treated and released at Penrose Main.
About two hours later, Solis and Murray approached a man in the 400 block of E. Brookside, and Solis stabbed him in his arms, police said. The victim was treated at Memorial Hospital and released.
Solis was arrested on charges of attempted first degree murder for the first stabbings and assault in the third degree for later stabbing. Murray, 36, was arrested on charges of being an accessory to attempted murder and assault in the second degree.
