Pedestrian struck by car

A pedestrian-car accident sent one man flying through the air 30 feet late Monday night. Police say that Thomas Patterson was crossing the road in the 1600 block of West Colorado Avenue and was struck by the right side of an oncoming car. He suffered abrasions and back fractures and was taken to the hospital. The driver was apparently not injured.
