Clerk stabbed in liquor store robbery

A clerk at a liquor store was stabbed in a robbery attempt Tuesday evening near Austin Bluffs Parkway and Academy Boulevard, Colorado Springs police said. The extent of the man’s injuries were not known.

The robbery attempt occurred at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at 3609 Austin Bluffs Parkway.

Seven minutes later, a drug store half a mile away at 3480 N. Academy Blvd., was also robbed, although police said it’s not clear if the robberies were related.

No arrests have been made so far.

I guess we will have to wait three weeks until the blotter gives a description. By then the story will be in memory hole, and there will be no racial stereotyping.

I just wish these thugs would bite their victims, so the law could make a dental record arrest.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of currency. The area was checked for the suspect was he was not located. Investigation continues."

liquor stores provide no social benefit and are crime magnets. shut them all down--that's the only solution.

You're so right! Too bad the robber didn't have a gun instead. The clerk would be dead, but at least we could feel safer, knowing there wasn't a guy armed with a knife running around loose in our city.
