THE GAZETTE

When Jeffrey Nilles went to Home Depot at 7129 N. Academy Blvd. Thursday night, he apparently took the name of the store a little too literally. The 42-year-old is accused of stealing some lawnmowers and storing them at his home in northeast Colorado Springs.
Nilles was followed home by Home Depot security officers, who kept watch until Colorado Springs police arrived. Nilles was arrested for felony theft; items from K-Mart at the Chapel Hills Mall were also found at his home.

Harrison school district closer to pay for performance for teachers
Should teacher pay be based on performance?
Yes. Teachers should be rewarded for good work, and poor performers should be weeded out.
No. Pay for performance is just a back-door way of blaming teachers for other problems in the education system.
It depends on what "performance" means. It's good if there's a fair measurement of performance.
Undecided.
