Deckers fire 50 percent contained
A wildfire burning five miles north of Deckers was about 50 percent contained Monday night, a Jefferson County Sheriff's Offce spokesman said.
The fire at one point covered 110 acres. Ten to 15 homes had been evacuated, and others were on standby. No structures had burned.
The fire started Sunday near Colorado Highway 67. The cause had not been determined.
Highway 67 between Deckers and Nighthawk remained closed Monday night. Evacuees are expected to be able to return home after 6 p.m. today, the sheriff's spokesman said.
