Ways to help the needy for the holidays
• “Santa for Seniors” — Silver Key Senior Services needs volunteers to help schedule, visit and deliver gifts to local seniors. Callers are needed 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays through Dec. 18. Drivers and visitors are needed 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays through Dec. 19. • Gifts for teens — Teens with Promise is accepting gifts for teenagers through Thursday. Gift ideas include jeans, sneakers, hoodies, jewelry, perfume, gym bags, gift cards, iPods, MP3 players and sports equipment. Donations can be made online. • Food drive — Bill’s Tool Rental is accepting donations of nonperishable food to benefit families of the Community Partnership for Childhood Development through Monday. • The 27th-annual Bob Telmosse Christmas Giveaway — New toys and bikes, coats and winter wear, gifts for parents, nonperishable food and frozen turkeys are being accepted through Dec. 21 at The Citadel, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, in a trailer in the parking lot near the food court and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays inside the upper level near Burlington Coat Factory.
