1 person in custody after stabbing inside Lowe's
A stabbing in Lowe's
home improvement store Wednesday was between two men who were at odds over a
woman, witnesses say.
The stabbing
happened about 11:15 a.m. between two men when one stabbed the other inside the store
at 2945 New Center Point in northeast Colorado Springs. The victim, whose identity
was not released, was stabbed in the abdomen and taken to the hospital, said
Sgt. Dennis Juhl, with Colorado Springs Police. The victim did not have
life-threatening injuries.
John Ganatta was at
the store Wednesday with his neighbor, whom he did not identify. Ganatta said
that his neighbor had a continuing dispute with his wife's ex-husband. When the
two men ran into each other by accident at the store, they started acting
aggressively toward each other.
"He said ‘back off
or I'll stab you,' Ganatta said. "So he did."
