Jaden Schwartz texts that he will return to CC

In a text Sunday night, Colorado College sophomore-to-be Jaden Schwartz confirmed that he will be “coming back for sure” to play wing for the Tigers next season.

Schwartz, who had family obligations on Sunday night, said he would talk to The Gazette today about his decision.

Despite missing 15 games, Schwartz recorded 47 points (30 assists) to lead the Tigers in scoring last season.

The member of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association rookie team was named to the NCAA all-West Region team among other honors.

He was selected 14th by the St. Louis Blues in the 2010 NHL entry draft.

St. Louis Blues blogger and radio show host Andy Strickland tweeted he had heard Schwartz would stay at CC from unnamed source earlier this weekend.
