Living Proof founder brings message to Springs this weekend
Comments 0 | Recommend 0One of the biggest names in evangelical Christianity is coming to the World Arena on May 2-3 for two appearances.
Beth Moore, founder of Living Proof Ministries, is on the road with her Living Proof Live Ministries, part of her effort to empower women to live by biblical teachings.
"Our deep and genuine desire is to see the Holy Spirit of living God poured out on people so that the lost are found, the weary are revived," Moore said in a statement.
Through her books and Living Proof speaking events, Moore has reached hundreds of thousands of women with her Christian message.
The World Arena, which seats 10,000, is expected to sell out for both evenings, said city coordinator Christi Lynn.
In contrast to most speakers, Moore doesn't plan what she'll minister about on a given evening.
"People want to know what she'll be talking about, and we say, ‘We have no idea,'" said Paige Greene, director of women's events at Life Way Christian Resources, which coordinates Moore's Living Proof event schedule.
"Every event is unique," Greene said. "God lays on her heart what she'll be teaching."
Raised in the small town of Arkadelphia, Ark., Moore attended Sunday school classes as a teenager, which planted the seed for her future, according to the Living Proof Web site.
She founded Living Proof Ministries in 1994, and has ministered to more than 425,000 women in America, Ireland, India and other countries.
"We have one goal: people coming to love Jesus Christ with a passion through the study of his word," Moore said.
General admission tickets are $55 and can be purchased at www.lifeway.com/women or by calling 1-800-254-2022. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the event begins at 7 p.m. each day.
