THE GAZETTE

Joseph Martinez, a 37-year-old Colorado Springs man who had been missing since Thursday, was found Monday at a Colorado Springs mission, police reported.

Martinez showed up at the Lord of Glory Mission at 1024 S. Royer St. on Sunday night, a mission spokesman said. Someone there saw a report about Martinez on TV, realized it was him and called police. His sister picked him up about 6 p.m. Monday and brought him home. He was in good condition.

Martinez was last seen about 2 p.m. Thursday walking near Hancock and Costilla wearing a gray sleeveless shirt, dark shorts and brown sandals. He had walked away from a relative's house in the southeast part of town.

Harrison school district closer to pay for performance for teachers
Should teacher pay be based on performance?
Yes. Teachers should be rewarded for good work, and poor performers should be weeded out.
No. Pay for performance is just a back-door way of blaming teachers for other problems in the education system.
It depends on what "performance" means. It's good if there's a fair measurement of performance.
Undecided.
