Fast dash foils robbery attempt near liquor store

Two would-be robbers got away without any loot just after midnight Thursday when the three intended victims ran away.

Three people were leaving Pikes Peak Liquor, 2831 E. Fountain Blvd., when two men wearing masks walked up and demanded money, Colorado Springs police reported. At least one of the pair had a pistol.

When the intended victims bolted, the suspects ran into the nearby Conifer Apartments.

The would-be robbers were not found, police stated.
