Explosion causes power outage downtown

Colorado Springs Utilities workers are trying to restore power to a widespread power outage caused by some type of explosion.
The area stretching from Cache le Poudre Street downtown north to Fillmore Street is currently without power.
Colorado Springs police said they did not know what caused the explosion but think it may have been a transformer.
