Hunt elementary sets book, gift fair

THE GAZETTE

Helen Hunt Elementary School is hosting a scholastic book and gift fair from 7:30 to 8 a.m. and 3:15 to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and from 7:30 to 8 a.m. and 3:15 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the school’s media center, 917 E. Moreno Ave. Gift ideas include books for children and adults, art and school supplies and educational software. Proceeds will benefit the school library media center. For information, call Carol Chapman, 328-2924.

Should teacher pay be based on performance?
Yes. Teachers should be rewarded for good work, and poor performers should be weeded out.
No. Pay for performance is just a back-door way of blaming teachers for other problems in the education system.
