UCCS leader faces complaint

Members of a student-run gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender group at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs decided Friday to file a formal complaint of discrimination against the student body president, said Jesse Perez, co-chair of Spectrum.

The Student Government Association's judicial board will handle the complaint and investigate whether David Williams upheld his role by refusing to sign a funding proposal for the group, called Spectrum, for personal reasons. The request to fund a National Coming Out Day observance passed because he did not veto it.
