Man arrested after woman, 85, hurt in hit and run

A man was arrested Wednesday morning on suspicion of hitting an 85-year-old pedestrian with his car in a south-side parking lot and leaving the scene.

Donald Clements, 46, is suspected of hitting the woman in the business parking lot at 1920 S. Nevada Ave. about 10:30 a.m. The woman was taken to the hospital and treated for bruises and a broken arm.

Clements was later found and faces felony hit-and-run charges. He remained in the El Paso County jail on Wednesday night on $2,000 bond.
