Serratore given another 5-year contract
The Air Force Academy and coach Frank Serratore agreed on a new five-year contract that runs through the 2013-14 season, it was announced Monday.
The deal replaces the 5-year deal signed last season. Further details were not disclosed.
”I’m honored that they think enough of me as a coach and mentor to the young athletes here at the academy that they choose to commit to keeping me around that long,” Serratore said.
Serratore has led the Falcons to three straight Atlantic Hockey Association Tournament championships and NCAA berths.
Serratore (200-216-2) is currently in his 13th season at Air Force and is the winningest coach in school hockey history.
