Air Force at Wyoming men's basketball preview
Air Force at Wyoming
Wednesday night, 8 p.m., Arena Auditorium
Air Force (13-12, 4-8 MWC), last game: 70-58 loss vs. San Diego State
About the Falcons: Air Force will see two different looks from the first meeting. Since Wyoming fired coach Heath Schroyer and replaced him with Fred Langley, the Cowboys are playing a more pressing style on defense and more man-to-man defense in the half court. With Schroyer as coach, Wyoming stubbornly played a soft zone defense and gave up a ton of 3-pointers. Those shots won’t come as easily for the Falcons this time against Wyoming.
Wyoming (9-17, 2-10 MWC), last game: 80-70 loss at Utah
About the Cowboys: Wyoming has taken to using leading scorer Desmar Jackson off the bench. Jackson, a 6-5 sophomore guard, can play with full energy with fewer minutes. He averages 15.2 points and five rebounds, and the Falcons will have to be aware of him when he checks into the game.
