Broncos notes: Running back Little named a Hall of Fame finalist

Floyd Little will have another chance to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
The former Broncos great was one of two finalists selected by the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Seniors Committee. Defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau was the other.
Little rushed for 6,323 yards as a running back with Denver from 1967-75. To be inducted, Little needs 80 percent of the Hall-of-Fame panel to vote him in.
“I am so pleased,” Little told the Hall-of-Fame’s Web site. “This is so great. This is the best news I’ve had since I retired.”

Hochstein added
The Broncos traded the 2010 seventh-round pick they acquired as part of a trade for defensive end Le Kevin Smith last week back to the Patriots for offensive lineman Russ Hochstein. Since Aug. 17, the Broncos have acquired three former Patriots: Smith, Hochstein and defensive back Antwain Spann, who was claimed off waivers Monday.

Cutler reaction
Most Broncos didn’t have much to say about Bears quarterback Jay Cutler’s return to Denver and that they didn’t take the Cutler trade personally, though they figured he would get booed.
“Broncos fans are a lot like Arkansas fans to me — anything that betrayed them or went behind their back or acted like they did something, they’re gung ho about hating somebody,” said running back Peyton Hillis, who played in college at Arkansas.
Broncos coach Josh McDaniels, whose feud with Cutler led to the trade, was asked if he would say anything to Cutler on Sunday.
“I doubt it,” McDaniels said.
