Faulkner, one of Broncos first coaches, dies

One of the Denver Broncos' first coaches, Jack Faulkner, passed away Sunday night.

Faulkner spent 54 years in professional football, including 43 with the Rams organization. Faulkner, who also served as Denver's general manager, coached the Broncos from 1962-64. He was named the AFL Coach of the Year in 1962 after Denver posted a 7-7 record. His career record with the Broncos was 9-22-1.

Faulkner passed away in Newport Beach, Calif., at the age of 82.
