Wyoming at Air Force
Today, 1:30 p.m., Clune Arena
Wyoming (8-10, 1-3 MWC), last game: 68-51 loss vs. Utah
About the Cowboys: Wyoming has been pummeled with injuries, but the Cowboys present some concerns for Air Force. Mostly, Falcons coach Jeff Reynolds said he thinks the Cowboys’ zone defense, with its size and length, could give Air Force problems. He also said he thought Wyoming’s size up front could make rebounding difficult for an Air Force team that has had problems on the boards this season.
Air Force (10-7, 1-3 MWC), last game: 68-55 loss at San Diego State
About the Falcons: Through the first four conference games, one thing that concerns Reynolds is Air Force’s field-goal percentage allowed. The Falcons have allowed conference opponents to make 44.2 percent of their shots from the field, up from 38.1 in the nonconference season. Part of that is the opposition has been better in conference play, but Reynolds hopes the Falcons’ defense tightens up.
