Air Force at Utah preview
Saturday, 6 p.m., Huntsman Center
Air Force (12-9, 3-5 MWC), last game: 75-61 loss vs. New Mexico
About the Falcons: Air Force had trouble with New Mexico’s lineup, which featured four guards and big man Drew Gordon. Utah runs a similar style, with outside threats making things easier for 6-7 forward Will Clyburn, who averages 18.8 points and 8.5 minutes. The Utes’ attack has coach Jeff Reynolds concerned, especially after New Mexico dominated the Falcons on Tuesday night.
Utah (10-12, 3-5 MWC), last game: 67-54 loss vs. UNLV
About the Utes: Utah will be looking for a bit of revenge after losing the Mountain West season opener at Air Force. Utah has played better since then, with its losses coming to San Diego State, BYU, UNLV and Colorado State, arguably the top four teams in the conference. Utah does have a win against New Mexico, which handled Air Force easily this week. Also, Utah will have coach Jim Boylen. He missed the first game against Air Force to deal with a family matter.
