AREA COLLEGES: AFA grad to join Academic All-America Hall of Fame

Air Force graduate Lance Pilch will be inducted into the CoSIDA Academic All-America Hall of Fame on Sunday in San Diego.
Pilch, who graduated from the academy in 1993, was a three-year letterman in baseball and a two-time academic All-American.
Pilch, who is a major in the Air Force, is the sixth academy graduate to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, joining Brock Strom, Rich Mayo, Chad Hennings, Michelle Johnson and Chris Howard.
