Colorado golfer indicted on tax charges
BOULDER — The owner of two Colorado golf courses has been indicted on federal tax evasion charges.
The Department of Justice says Stephen Kerr also faces charges of filing false individual income tax returns for 2007 and 2008 and failing to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts.
According to the Boulder Daily Camera (http://bit.ly/xRgLQa), Kerr is accused of conspiracy to defraud the Internal Revenue Service by concealing millions of dollars in assets in several Swiss bank accounts.
Kerr is the owner of the Colorado National Golf Course in Erie and Fox Hill Country Club in Longmont.
Two other colleages — businessman Michael Quiel and former San Diego attorney Christopher Rusch — were indicted on similar charges in the case.
