THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings have signed second-round draft pick Phil Loadholt, a Fountain-Fort Carson High School graduate.

The team announced the move on Wednesday, ensuring the right tackle will report to training camp on time. Players are required to report by Thursday and the first practice is Friday.

The 6-foot-8, 343-pound former Oklahoma Sooner is expected to challenge for the starting job at right tackle. Ryan Cook and Artis Hicks both struggled at that spot last season.

The Vikings have one final draft pick who remains unsigned: first-round receiver Percy Harvin out of Florida.
