Air Force women lose 84-41 to New Mexico in MWC tourney

LAS VEGAS - Air Force was going to have enough trouble upsetting New Mexico on Tuesday if it played a perfect game.

Giving the ball away too many times and repeatedly allowing the Lobos to have second and third chances spelled disaster.

New Mexico scored 21 points off 15 Air Force turnovers and grabbed 16 offensive rebounds leading to 24 second-chance points en route to an 84-41 drubbing of the Falcons in the first round of the Mountain West Conference women's basketball tournament at the Thomas and Mack Center.
